Van Der Walt is a Cape Town based colour consultant, providing expert advice on how to create a good colour environment for any space—interior or exterior, residential or commercial. Her areas of expertise include architecture, interiors and marketing. Projects Van Der Walt has recently been involved with include Khayelitsha Hospital, Showrooms of The Hall Collection as well as Val de Vie Estate, Camps Bay, Welgemoed and Stellenbosch residential areas. All NCS products will be available at Walker’s shop located at Shop 31, Field's Centre in Kloof, and Vander Walt will supply all the NCS in and around Cape Town.
Van Der Walt says it’s an absolute pleasure work with the NCS Colour Notation System, because of NCS’s scientific approach and almost 100 years of research to back it up. “Now when choosing colours and accents, it becomes an easy process and all clients immediately understand the concept of colour when you explain the system and can give models for the correct colour choices of specific hues and nuances. Especially when we can measure the undertones of existing or proposed usage of materials,” she says.
