MSA responds to gas leaks

E-mail Print PDF

MSA Africa, a leading manufacturer of sophisticated safety equipment and part of the global MSA Group, has released the UltraSonic EX-5 Gas Leak Detector that responds to the ultrasonic noise created by a pressurised gas leak.

The UltraSonic™ EX-5 Gas Leak Detector is unaffected by elements, such as the direction of the wind, a gas leak and gas dispersion. This is often because the product responds to the source of the gas leak rather than the overall dispersion of gas molecules in the air.

It features a unique immunity to false alarms, and can be configured to filter short timescale ultrasonic noises and frequencies below 25 kHz – which are ignored with the help of a high pass filter. Any alerts are indicated by a three-digit LED, which also shows actual sound pressure levels.
