Rothenburger has launched the Rodiadrill-1800 Dry, a hand-operated, core drilling machine designed for applications in building, heating, plumbing and electrical installations.
The new Rodiadrill utilises patented ‘Power-Puls’ technology to deliver 23 000 soft blows per minute for efficient drilling in hard materials, and produces holes of up to 162mm in walls of concrete, reinforced concrete and stone.
The main feature of the new drill is its ability to produce large diameter holes without needing a water collection ring and water suction unit, hence the ‘dry’ description within the product name. ‘Dry drilling’ takes less time to set up, does not require a water supply, is more convenient and simpler than wet drilling. Advanced operator safety features of the new drill include electronic soft start with overload indicator, and an electronic friction clutch with automatic switch off. Dust extraction is integral to the operation of the tool.
